Aston Villa Away Shirt 2011/12
The Aston Villa Away Shirt 2011/12 continues with the checkered theme that was introduced last season. The shirt is a white and pale blue checkered shirt with a classic claret collar. The "Pride of Birmingham" is embroidered on the inside of the shirt on the clubs crest, whilst the outside of the crest is surrounded by a silver stripe, the crest is worn directly over the wearers heart conveying their pride and true devotion for their beloved club.
The rest of the Villa Away Kit follows the traditional Villa style, with simple claret shorts, worn with white socks that feature a narrow band of pale blue and a thick band of claret at the top of the sock.
The shirt adopts the latest in Nike’s innovative, technical design and features including their Dri-FIT technology, which with engineered ventilation systems to help keep the wearer cool. The shirt has an ergonomic fit and soft cotton feel designed to offer maximum comfort for the wearer. Each shirt is made from Nike considered recycled material, both the shirt and shorts are produced using up to 13 discarded plastic water bottles, making it Nike’s greenest ever kit. This new manufacturing process reduces energy consumption by up to 30% compared to traditional polyester and saves nearly 100 million plastic water bottles from being dumped at landfill sites.
